Mango handed its global store network to Katarzyna Niemirowicz-Majtas on 25 September. She takes the chief retail officer title and a seat on the management committee. The network runs to more than 2,960 points of sale.

Niemirowicz-Majtas reports straight to Toni Ruiz

She answers to the president and chief executive. Her remit covers retail operations in over 120 markets. She keeps her Northern Europe teams alongside the wider job.

She joined Mango on 1 May 2026 as international retail director for Northern Europe. The promotion comes less than five months later.

Twenty countries and 18,000 staff at H&M Group

At H&M Group she ran commercial strategy across roughly 20 countries. About 18,000 people worked in that organisation. Before that she was country manager in Italy, with some 4,500 staff, and in Spain and Portugal.

She also led sales strategy and expansion at & Other Stories. Her retail career runs past 20 years.

Mango turned over 3.8 billion euros in 2025

The company started in Barcelona in 1984. It closed 2025 at about 3.8 billion euros, with roughly a third of sales online. It trades in more than 120 markets.

British expansion continues, with a new store in Chester. Not every European fashion group is adding capacity, though: Zalando is shutting its Erfurt hub.

The management committee moves close to gender parity

Mango says the appointment brings female representation on the committee near parity. It did not give the exact split.

Senior retail and marketing seats have been changing hands all month, including at Target, where Roundel moved under a new manager.

The numbers behind the job: 2,960 points of sale, 120 markets, 3.8 billion euros of revenue and a third of it online. Growing the online third without thinning the store estate is the arithmetic she has been handed.
