Snap announced a package of advertising updates called the Commerce Power Pack on 10 September 2026. The company said Snapchat product ads now run inside Chat, for every advertiser, worldwide.

Dynamic Product Ads reach Chat, where Snap counts 85% of users

Dynamic Product Ads pull items straight from an advertiser’s product catalogue. A model picks which item each person sees. Snap said these ads are now available in Sponsored Snaps, the ad slot inside Chat.

According to Snap, 85 percent of Snapchatters use Chat regularly. That figure comes from the company, not an outside auditor. It places shopping ads in the part of the app people open to message friends. Snap opened Unified Attribution to all app advertisers last month, and the new tools build on that work.

Value Optimization and two more tools are still in testing

Three other tools arrived with the same announcement. Value Optimization bids for return on ad spend and for higher-value purchases. It is in beta for web and app campaigns.

Third-Party Web Optimization is in open beta. It mixes Snap’s own signals with data from outside measurement firms. Omnichannel Optimization is still in alpha. It counts web and app purchases inside one campaign.

Snap reports 23% lower cost per purchase in a Google Analytics test

All the results below come from Snap. In a test with Google Analytics that ran from 18 May to 1 June 2026, Snap reported a 23 percent lower cost per purchase and a 37 percent higher return on ad spend, both measured by the outside tool.

A second test with Northbeam ran from 18 May to 7 June. There Snap reported a 37 percent lower cost per purchase, and a 64 percent higher return on ad spend among first-time buyers. An internal test of catalogue ads between 17 and 26 July showed a 22 percent better seven-day cost per action.

Spend Smarter campaign runs in the US and UK this month

Snap is backing the release with its own campaign, called Spend Smarter, in the United States and the United Kingdom. The timing points at the holiday quarter, when retail budgets peak. The company has been adding social features around the same period, including a group event tool called Plans.

Open your campaign setup screen before the next budget goes live. Check three things: whether Sponsored Snaps is switched on, whether the product catalogue is connected, and which goal each campaign optimises for. Value Optimization and the third-party option are still in beta, so not every account will see them yet.
