Google Analytics adds drag-and-drop Dashboards with a 15-card cap
Google Analytics has a new report type called Dashboards. Standard properties can place up to 15 cards on one board; Analytics 360 properties get 30.

Google Analytics Dashboards, a new type of report, went live in the week of 9 September 2026. An analyst drags cards onto a grid, arranges them and publishes the result straight into the Reports menu.
Six card types sit on one grid canvas
A dashboard is built from six kinds of cards: scorecards, tables, line charts, bar charts, donut charts and funnel charts. Cards can be moved, resized and aligned. Scorecards show a percentage change against a comparison period. Line charts switch between daily, weekly and monthly views.
Standard properties stop at 15 cards, Analytics 360 at 30
A standard property takes 15 cards on one dashboard. A property on Analytics 360, the paid tier, takes 30. That cap decides how a team splits the work. Either one broad board for the whole property, or several narrow boards, one per channel.
Anyone with property access can open a published board
Only users with Editor or Administrator rights can build and publish. After that, everyone with access to the property can open the board from the Reports menu. There are no private boards. A half-finished experiment becomes visible to colleagues the moment it is published, so agree who publishes before people start building.
No API, no segments and no Gemini in the shipped release
Three things are missing. There is no API, so a board cannot be built or read by a script. Segments are not supported. Card-level comparisons are not supported either. ppc.land also points out that Google described the feature in August as Gemini-powered, and that the released version has no prompt-based generation at all.
The gap matters because teams have had reasons to double-check the tool this year. In early September the platform showed no traffic for a full day, and the new measurement signals in Google Ads already pull reporting work in a different direction.
Check who holds Editor rights before you build
Open the Admin panel and read the user list for your property. The people with Editor and Administrator rights are the ones who decide what the rest of the company sees in Reports from now on.
