ATM Grupa will sell AI short drama series worldwide from early 2027

ATM Grupa is making two 60-episode short drama series entirely with generative AI. A global agent will license them to platforms from the first quarter of 2027.

ATM Grupa expects a finished minute of its AI short drama series to cost about 1,000 zlotys. Chief executive Przemysław Kmiotek gave the figure on a video call with investors on Monday 5 October, PAP Biznes reported. The Polish producer, best known for the TVP comedy series “Ranczo”, is making short drama series entirely with generative AI and paying for it alone, with no partner.

ATM Grupa plans two series of 60 episodes by the end of 2026

Each episode will run two to two and a half minutes. An in-house IT team is building two test series. Kmiotek said the themes would be romance or werewolves. Sales are planned for the first quarter of 2027. After that, the company will decide how many series a year to make.

Two series of 60 episodes add up to 240 to 300 minutes. At Kmiotek’s rate, that is roughly 240,000 to 300,000 zlotys for the whole first slate.

A global sales agent will license the shows to platforms

ATM has signed an agent to sell non-exclusive licences to platforms around the world. A platform that wants exclusive rights would pay more. ATM does not plan its own app for now. Press, a Polish trade magazine, reported Kmiotek as saying that one platform sale should roughly cover production costs. The company first wants to see whether licensing pays before it scales up.

Platforms are also changing how they treat short clips. YouTube said it will cut the reach of channels that repost barely changed Shorts.

ATM Rozrywka became ATM Short Drama in the court register

The work sits in a subsidiary. Poland’s National Court Register shows that ATM Rozrywka was renamed ATM Short Drama on 2 September 2026. Przemysław Żyłka and David Kovacs joined its board on the same day. The company has 250,000 zlotys of share capital, and ATM Grupa owns all 5,000 shares. Its main line of business is film and TV production. The register also lists advertising and market research.

Press noted that this company does not hold the licence of the former ATM Rozrywka TV channel. That licence is still in a dispute with KRRiT, Poland’s broadcasting regulator. Fully AI-made series also land in Europe’s debate on marking synthetic content, where Google and Meta signed the EU’s AI labelling code.

The first test of the plan comes in early 2027. If one licence sale really pays for a 60-episode series, ATM will have a cheap way to fill platform catalogues. If buyers want exclusivity at a higher price, the margin grows. If no platform bites, the werewolves stay on the shelf.
