Microsoft Ads API adds a landing page report. Performance Max gets device exclusions
Microsoft Advertising has added a report to its API that shows a search term, the headline served and the landing page in one row. Search Engine Land covered it on 25 September.

Advertisers who run Microsoft Ads through outside tools get three new controls. The main one is a report that ties a search term to the headline shown and the page the click landed on. Microsoft lists it in its release notes as SearchTermLandingPageReportRequest. Search Engine Land wrote about the changes on 25 September.
Microsoft Ads ties search terms to landing pages
Until now the search term sat in one report and the landing page in another. The new report puts them side by side with clicks and spend. That makes it easier to spot a term that leads to the wrong page. Microsoft publishes the full list in its API release notes.
The API is how other software talks to the ad system. So the report reaches agencies and tool makers first, not people clicking around the web panel. The notes file the report under the August version.
Performance Max campaigns can drop computers or tablets
The second change is a device exclusion for Performance Max. That is the campaign type where the system picks placements itself. Advertisers can now switch off computers, phones or tablets. The exclusion sits at campaign level, not at ad group level.
It helps shops that only sell on one kind of device. Microsoft has been opening up its buying tools for a while, and earlier put Copilot into Microsoft Curate.
LinkedIn segments reach the Microsoft Ads API
The third change opens LinkedIn segments to the API. Microsoft owns LinkedIn, so it can pass on job and industry data. Those signals were already in the panel. Now outside tools can set them too.
Google is pushing its own campaigns the same way. It recently moved Dynamic Search Ads into AI Max.
The report and the exclusions sit in the current API version, so they arrive the day a tool updates. Microsoft has not said when the same controls turn up in the web panel.
