Shein puts €500m into its Polish logistics hub as EU parcel fees rise
Shein said on 4 November it will invest €500m in 2026 in its logistics hub near Wrocław. The EU raised its fee on low-value parcels by €2 three days earlier.

Shein will spend €500m this year on its logistics hub near Wrocław, in south-west Poland. The online fashion retailer announced the plan at a press event in Wrocław on 4 November. Reuters, the German trade title Logistik Heute and France’s Ecommerce Mag all reported it the same day.
Shein expects 10,000 staff in Wrocław by the end of 2026
According to Shein, the site will grow to about one million square metres. That adds around 25% more storage space. The company said it will run more than 6,500 autonomous robots there and employ about 10,000 people by the end of the year. Its property partner is Logicor.
Shein said its total investment in Poland since 2022 will reach €1bn. Leonard Lin, Shein’s global head of public affairs and president for Europe, Middle East and Africa, told Reuters the company is building “more efficient, flexible and resilient European operations”.
EU parcel fees went up by €2 on 1 November
In July the EU started charging €3 on parcels worth less than €150. On 1 November it added another €2, Reuters reported.
The fees hit cross-border sellers that ship single parcels from Asia. We covered how Temu, Shein and AliExpress lost EU parcel volume after the first charge. Shein’s own numbers show the pressure too. Its sales in Europe fell in the second quarter, and Reuters said net profit dropped 67% in that period.
Shein promises 48-hour delivery in some European markets
Shein said customers in certain European markets can already get products from the Wrocław hub within 48 hours. It did not name those markets.
The hub also serves Shein’s marketplace for third-party sellers. Ecommerce Mag reported that more than 500 Polish brands and retailers have joined it since Shein opened the marketplace in Poland in April 2025. About 230 local small firms work with the hub as suppliers, Shein said.
Brands that sell on Shein’s marketplace can ask their account manager two things this week: whether their stock can be held in Wrocław, and which countries get the 48-hour promise. Shein has not published that list yet.
