DoubleVerify, the ad verification company, announced DoubleVerify Ask Neura on 17 September 2026. The tool lets media buyers type questions about their campaigns and get answers in plain language. It sits inside DV Pinnacle, the company’s reporting platform. This article is based on DV’s own announcement.

Ask Neura covers fraud, viewability and brand suitability

According to DV, users can ask why a number changed and get a short explanation. The tool writes summaries, spots patterns and links to the right dashboard. It works with data on invalid traffic, brand suitability, viewability, location and attention. DV says it covers social media, streaming TV and the open web.

Ask Neura also connects to outside AI assistants, such as Claude from Anthropic, through the Model Context Protocol. MCP is an open standard that lets AI models pull data from other software.

DV plans an Activation Agent that changes campaigns

The launch is part of a wider set of tools. DV says its Neura Insight Agent is available now. A second tool, the Activation Agent, is due in the coming months. Australian trade site B&T reported that it is meant to make approved campaign changes on its own, within limits the advertiser sets. DV first added a chat function to its streaming TV product in January.

Jake Li, trading director at agency Skyrise, said in DV’s release that the tool helps teams see “what changed, why it changed and where to focus”.

Microsoft and Walmart already put chat into ad buying

Chat tools are spreading across ad tech. Microsoft Curate added Copilot to private deal buying, and Walmart opened Scintilla data to its AI assistant. DV gave no prices or usage figures for Ask Neura.

Buyers who already use DV Pinnacle can check whether Ask Neura is switched on in their account. The bigger decision comes with the Activation Agent. Before it arrives, teams should agree which campaign changes they would let software make without a person signing off.
