Google has signed a multi-year deal with Jimmy Donaldson, the video maker known as MrBeast. He will promote Gemini, Google Health and the Fitbit Air tracker. Google announced it on its own blog on 2 September 2026 and did not say what it pays or how many years the deal runs.

Google puts Gemini and Fitbit Air in MrBeast’s 5 September video

The first video goes out on 5 September. Donaldson and his crew try to survive in a jungle, a desert and the Arctic. They use Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, to spot dangers and find a route. A second piece of content shows Donaldson planning big stunts with the same tool. The Fitbit Air, a health tracker, appears in a later challenge. Google keeps changing what sits behind Gemini, and only last week it moved Gemini 3.8 Flash into AI Mode in search.

Marvin Chow, vice president for consumer and AI marketing at Google, said Donaldson is “always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible”.

MrBeast reached 500 million subscribers before Google signed him

Donaldson was the first person on YouTube to pass 500 million subscribers. His main channel now sits near 515 million and pulls several billion views a month. That is the reason brands queue up for him. It is also the risk. One channel means one voice, one face and one set of decisions a brand does not control.

Money in this part of the market is moving fast and the rules keep changing. X recently made X Money the only way US creators get paid, which shows how much power platforms still hold over the people making the videos.

Google joins Disney, Lowe’s and Salesforce in paying MrBeast

Donaldson has worked with Disney, Lowe’s and Jack Link’s, and he appeared in a Salesforce ad during this year’s Super Bowl. Google is selling something different. A snack or a shop needs attention. Software needs a person to try it and keep using it.

That is why the format matters more than the reach here. The product has to do something on screen, in front of an audience that came for the stunt, not for the tool. Other brands are testing the same idea from the other end. Chipotle recently handed a national campaign to 100 creators and filmed nothing itself. Google went the other way and bought one very large channel.

For marketers the useful question is not how many people watch. It is whether viewers can see the product working. If they cannot, a big channel only buys a big number.
