DoorDash has named WPP Media its first global media partner. The company announced the deal on 22 September 2026. It covers more than 40 markets and three delivery brands: DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt. The work starts in early 2027.
Deliveroo and Wolt move onto the same media plan as DoorDash
Until now DoorDash bought media market by market. WPP Media already handled the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The new contract folds Deliveroo and Wolt into the same setup. Deliveroo is strongest in the United Kingdom. Wolt sells in dozens of countries in Europe and Asia.
Tim Castree, chief marketing officer at DoorDash, said the company wants to “operate with a unified strategy globally”. DoorDash said it chose WPP Media for its data, technology and measurement work. It also pointed to eight years of shared history.
WPP Media built DoorDash’s first national ad in 2020
That history goes back to DoorDash’s early years. WPP Media helped build the first national campaign in 2020, shortly before the stock market debut. Nancy Hall, who runs WPP Media in the United States, called the wider deal “a testament to the exceptional quality of work”.
September was a busy month for DoorDash for other reasons too. The company settled with New York for 131.5 million dollars over courier pay.
WPP Media also took Estee Lauder and Wendy’s this year
The win lands in a year of cuts at WPP. The group said it would drop up to 1,000 more jobs by the end of 2026. At the same time it kept adding clients. Estee Lauder signed in April 2026. Wendy’s handed over its United States media. WPP also held on to Coca-Cola’s international media after Publicis walked away.
One question stays open. Nobody has said which agencies lose the Deliveroo and Wolt work in single markets. The answer should show once the new setup starts in early 2027.
