Mercedes-AMG launched a global campaign with Brad Pitt on 2 October 2026, timed with the Los Angeles premiere of its electric GT 4-Door Coupé. The spot is called “Too Hard To Resist”. Team X, part of Omnicom, made it with director Simon McQuoid and Tony Petersen Film.

Brad Pitt keeps asking for one more take

The film is set on a Hollywood production set. Pitt is supposed to follow a script, but he keeps finding reasons for another take. The pyrotechnics were missing, or he missed his mark. Each time he gets back behind the wheel, while the stuntman on set grows more tired. Campaign Germany describes the car as the character that takes over the shoot.

Horizont points out that Pitt talks in this ad. In his recent work for Nespresso he said little more than one word, and in his spot for Trade Republic he said nothing. Here he speaks, jokes and seems to enjoy the drive.

Mercedes-AMG builds on a 2025 stunt in Las Vegas

This is Pitt’s second campaign as a Mercedes-AMG ambassador. In 2025 the brand filmed a stunt in Las Vegas with a prototype of the same car. Mercedes Italy says the new campaign links Pitt with ambition and performance, which it calls part of the AMG character.

The car runs on the new AMG.EA electric platform with three axial flux motors, according to Horizont. The campaign is also part of the 140-year celebrations Mercedes-Benz runs in 2026.

Mercedes-AMG keeps the media budget to itself

Mercedes-AMG did not give the media budget or the list of countries. Star-led spots are a familiar tool for launches, from cars to coffee: Dunkin’ reunited two Spice Girls for a seasonal drink this autumn. Omnicom, which owns Team X, has also been winning big accounts in Germany.

Brands that already pay Pitt now sit next to a different version of him. Nespresso and Trade Republic used a quiet, almost silent actor. Mercedes-AMG shows him talking and laughing, so the next brief that books him has a new benchmark to match.
