Who is responsible for your data

The controller of personal data collected on marketingnewsroom.com is IMARKETING Sp. z o.o., Al. Jana Pawla II 150/127, 31-864 Krakow, Poland, registered in the Polish National Court Register under KRS no. 0001203282, VAT ID PL6751820741.

For anything concerning your data, write to editor@marketingnewsroom.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer, so requests are handled by the editorial office.

Because the publisher is based in Poland, this site is run under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, wherever you read it from.

What we collect

Newsletter. The email address you enter in the sign-up form, plus the date and time of the sign-up and its confirmation.

Contact. Your email address, the content of your message and anything else you choose to include in it.

Your visit. IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, date and time of the request. The server records this in its logs regardless of consent, because the site cannot run or be protected without it.

Analytics and advertising. Data about how the site is used, collected through cookies and similar technologies, only after you consent in the banner. Details are on the Cookies page.

Why we process it and on what basis

Delivering the site and keeping it secure. Our legitimate interest in running a working, abuse-resistant service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Server logs are kept for 12 months.

Sending the newsletter. Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We keep the address until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, and the consent record itself for a further three years so we can show when it was given and withdrawn.

Replying to your message. Our legitimate interest in handling correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Messages are kept for one year from the last exchange, or three years if they concern a correction request.

Audience measurement and advertising. Your consent given in the banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time.

Accounting and legal claims. Statutory tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in defending claims (Art. 6(1)(f)). Accounting records are kept for five years from the end of the tax year, evidence until claims expire.

Personal data in editorial content

Marketing Newsroom is a registered press title and its articles are produced for journalistic purposes. Most GDPR provisions do not apply to personal data appearing in editorial material, such as the names of people we write about. This follows from Art. 85 GDPR and Art. 2 of the Polish Personal Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018.

That does not mean we ignore complaints. If you believe an article contains an inaccurate or untrue statement about you, write to editor@marketingnewsroom.com. Corrections are published under Art. 31a and following of the Polish Press Law.

Who receives the data

Hostinger International Ltd hosts the site and runs newsletter delivery through Hostinger Reach.

Google Ireland Limited provides Google Analytics 4 and, once monetisation starts, Google AdSense advertising. Both load only after you consent.

Data may also reach our legal and accounting advisers and authorities entitled to it by law. We do not sell data and we do not share it for other companies’ marketing.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Google may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. The transfer relies on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and on the adequacy decision made under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Our other suppliers process data within the EEA.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data and obtain a copy, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Consent to the newsletter and to cookies can be withdrawn at any time, without affecting what happened before the withdrawal.

An email to editor@marketingnewsroom.com is enough. We reply within one month.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority: Prezes Urzedu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland, or with the authority in your own country of residence.

Is providing data mandatory

No. You can read everything without giving us any data. An email address is voluntary, but without it we cannot send the newsletter or reply to you.

Automated decisions and profiling

We do not make decisions producing legal effects about you by automated means alone. If you give marketing consent, Google’s advertising tools may tailor the ads you see to your interests. Withdraw that consent and the ads stay, they simply stop being personalised.

Changes to this policy

We update this page whenever we change tools or the scope of processing. The new version applies from the day it is published here.
