TikTok announced on 2 September 2026 that it has renewed its partnership with the NFL for several more years. The information comes from TikTok’s own newsroom. The company says the deal covers highlights, player interviews and archive footage on nine NFL accounts, and adds new places for brands to buy advertising next to that content.
TikTok renews the NFL deal for several more years
Neither side gave the exact length. TikTok describes it as a multiyear agreement. It follows several seasons of work together. The league posts on a main account plus seven country accounts, among them @nflcanada, @nflmx, @nflbrasil, @nfldeutschland, @nflfrance and @nflaunz. According to TikTok, the main @nfl account has more than 20 million followers.
Pulse Premiere opens NFL club content to brand advertising
The commercial part of the deal is Pulse Premiere. It is an advertising product that puts a brand’s spot right after a chosen publisher’s video. TikTok says it is extending it to the NFL’s member clubs, so an advertiser can appear next to posts from an individual team rather than only the league. That is the element marketers will care about, because it turns a content deal into buyable space.
GamePlan puts scores and game links inside TikTok search
TikTok is also adding what it calls GamePlan, a set of NFL hubs meant to help people find football content and get to the games. The company says a search for the NFL will show live scores, schedules and links to watch. A separate fan space, TikTok Pro Events, is due in the coming weeks. These are TikTok’s own descriptions of features that are not fully live yet.
TikTok says sport drew 24 billion views during the 2026 World Cup
To show the size of the audience, TikTok points to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, when its official sports content collected 24 billion views. That figure comes from the platform, not from an outside measurement company, so treat it as a claim rather than an audited number. Rollo Goldstaub, TikTok’s global head of sport, and Brent Lawton, the NFL’s vice president of media strategy, both commented on the renewal in the release.
The context matters for anyone planning sports budgets. YouTube now carries NFL Sunday Ticket and has shown live games, so the two platforms are pulling at the same audience from different ends: one sells the match, the other sells the talk around it. TikTok’s European position is under close watch at the same time, after the company reported 189 million users in the EU and a smaller moderation team. Brands buying around live sport are also watching how easy it is to find a game at all, which a recent Gracenote study put at one fan in four.
